Sixth gradeEU Research - Literally take notes on the European Union.
LA Questionnaire - Write down ten (10) questions you have about Latin America.
LA Geo Creation - Student teams were tasked in creating a presentation on a physical feature of their choice. Some groups wrote poems, made posters, wrote stories, etc.

SW Asia History Stations - Students were tasked in visiting stations around the classroom and outdoor tables. Each station focused on an event in SW Asia's history. Events included, 1990 Persian Gulf Conflict, 2001 Afghanistan Invasion, 2003 Iraq Invasion, and the creation of the country Israel post WWII. Instead of visiting these stations to earn credit for this assignment, students will need to write a half (1/2) page synopsis of the four events listed above.
Movie Poster - Students were tasked in creating a movie poster for a movie focusing on one of the conflicts involving the USA within SW Asia. Posters required an image(s), cast members, a brief synopsis, and a title.

I recently found a website that is chalk full of games for helping students with their geography skills. The new state test, Georgia Milestones, will be heavily focused on geography and locating countries and landforms within countries. Check out this site and play the games to help with your geography skills. |
